Use of the site

The times here are provided free, for planning photography and similar activities. Use them as a guide, not as the only source: check the sky yourself, and do not rely on this site where a wrong time could cause harm.

Accuracy

The times are computed from a well established solar position calculation for the coordinates and timezone of each place, and are correct to within about a minute for a level horizon. They do not account for local terrain, buildings, or horizon obstructions, so an actual sunrise can be hidden for some time after the computed one.

Content and data

Place data comes from GeoNames under its own license, and the solar position calculation uses SunCalc. Those components remain the property of their authors.

Embedding

You may embed the widget on your own site using the code on any place page. Please keep the link back to this site that the widget includes.

The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, the site is not liable for any loss arising from use of the times or data on it.
